Strong

This little thing

So delicate so strong

Still stands

After summer is gone.

Through changing weather and pouring rain

Fights and still remains

Hurricane Bella swept through our nation

Toppling garden furniture

Trees

Pots.

Causing devastation

But this little thing

So delicate so small

Withstood the turbulence

Still stood tall

So the lesson as we go from

2020 to 2021

Is to hold our heads high

When things seem to come

Undone

To be like this rose

Beautiful and delicate

It laughs at the storm

And simply shouts

He has made me GREAT!
